Meet the Founder

Erica Fand, MS, RD, CDN

 

Erica is a registered dietitian with a Masters of Science in Nutrition Education from Columbia University, a bachelor’s degree in business from Syracuse University, and founder of Jeweled Nutrition, a concierge nutrition private practice assisting families dealing with food allergies and intolerances.

Navigating food allergies or intolerances can be overwhelming, challenging, and isolating; not only for the child or young adult experiencing the allergy or intolerance, but additionally for the entire family. Erica’s experience with a number of autoimmune conditions, including celiac disease, has allowed her to not only empathize but relate on a personal level with her patients. Erica’s own mother purchased Gluten- Free for Dummies when she was first diagnosed with celiac disease as a young adult!

Erica’s clinical nutrition training while in her dietetic internship/residency program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, coupled with her education and personal experience, has allowed her to guide families through what can be a difficult and confusing time. Jeweled Nutrition practices evidenced-based nutrition science and helps translate the latest research to families in a comprehensive, “digestible” fashion armoring them with the tools to apply this information in their everyday lives.

Erica has completed the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food Allergy course and continues to attend numerous conferences to stay current with the latest research in the field of allergy.
